Was going through my bookcase today and found the first book on meditation I ever read, which was 10 yrs ago! It took me a long time to get into the groove of having a consistent meditation practice, but sometimes it takes a while for the seeds you plant to sprout. This book is great for the beginner and seasoned meditator. Gonna look over it again myself. Always good to go back to the basics :-)

David Wilcock: Occupy Your Self! Personal Spiritual Development

I have totally been on a David Wilcock binge! Above is a short introduction to David Wilcock and what he’s about. Wilcock is one of those people I’ve known about but just never really took the time to listen to…well everything happens at the right time I suppose! Listening to all of his lectures on YouTube these past few days has proved to be very enlightening and has definitely put some more pieces of the puzzle together for me. While I don’t necessarily agree with everything he says, it’s always good to expose yourself to various research and opinions. I really like his message and appreciate his dedication to spreading the knowledge he has acquired.

Some people volunteer, some spread knowledge, some people work very hard to heal the deep wounds in themselves which helps to heal the collective consciousness, some meditate in loving kindness for the planet, some people are walking beams of love and light….how are you being of service to humanity?

Calling the children back to your bountiful heart

The central sun’s home birthed from your womb

The universe, the planets, the atoms

The building blocks

We set out for the daylight’s glory

Reveled so we played past dark

and gone was the trail taking us home

Now memories erased

confusing fire for the Divine spark

We built, separated, and categorized

Another pic from my recent visit to Kentucky. I was walking down a very steep hill and saw this little guy from afar. He was so still that I wondered for a long time if he was even real. Turns out there were 2 deer down the hill! I was able to get pretty close before they ran off. Pretty cool moment with nature :-) Don’t get many of those living in nyc!

I sat on these tree stumps often while I was in Kentucky a few weeks ago, meditating and immersing myself in nature. The Autumn leaves became my teachers as they effortlessly fell to the earth in a perfect display of the art of surrender. I have been hearing that word a lot lately and I know it’s not just a coincidence; I’ve always struggled with the act of surrendering. I often get confused as to where my part of action ends and when I need to step back and let Divine Will run it’s course. I recently read in the book Fear No Evil about the yes-current and no-current. If you are mindful, it’s pretty easy to tell when you are in either state and they both exist to some extent in every situation. If you are in the yes-current things unfold for you easily and effortlessly with little struggle as you ride the wave of your life. You are in a state of acceptance, even in the seemingly negative experiences. If you are experiencing struggle, frustration, pain, anger, hate, etc. you can be sure you are in the no-current. I find that fear is usually the underlying emotion when I am in the no-current. Fear that I won’t get something, that there won’t be enough time or resources, fear that I will experience rejection or disapproval, etc. That’s a time to stop, identify your no-current and, without judging yourself as being “bad” for being in this duality, surrender to the now and your heart. All things can be transmuted and transformed when brought through the now of the heart-space and remembering who you really are. It’s not always easy to do, and I find my ego wants to hang on to these no-current emotions, especially when I feel like someone has wronged me. Being mindful of how these yes and no-currents play out in your life is a great tool to find when you are out of alignment with your higher-self. It can also help you to identify the underlying themes to the disharmonies you find yourself in and can be a catalyst in finding ways to keep them from manifesting.

Now, when I feel like I am pushing to make something happen or am feeling disharmony within and around me, I try to remember my beautifully colored teachers who gracefully surrendered to the breeze and the Divine cycle of life.
