*Inward Spiral Home*
Ah„„„, Surprise!
Stars cry out to the indigo sky
She is found in this oxymoron container
Divided in halves among halves
until unrecognizable to each other
As one in another
Bursting forth from idle shame
that compounded and stretched
upon this frozen plane
Oh, but to taste her
To dip my toe in her tingle
This longing and her call are so strong
that just a glimpse is like touching fire
and I’m no longer numb
Creeping down the basement steps
Towards the dark light
Meddling in distractions abides time
But I’ve heard her siren calls
My denial is stronger than Odysseus
yet my soul has broken free
and now let loose reigns upon me
So sing on your medley that lives in my heart
Reminds in the background I am free
Despite my attempts not to see
Spiraling inward with each strum
On strings made from scars
Each note calls forth pain pasts
Hungers my starvation of longings now
This tangled excitement in my chest
is roaring with your possibilities
of what could be’s if we finally met
Communed ourselves to one
If I remembered all of me
I would know the meaning of free
